Keystone RJ45 module cat. 6A – quick installation and high transmission quality

This RJ45 keystone module from ALANTEC PLUS, category 6A, is a solution designed for building subscriber points and patch panels in telecommunications networks. Designed with installers’ convenience and reliability in mind, it offers a tool-free mounting system that significantly speeds up the installation process – by up to 2/3 compared to traditional methods. This makes it simple and efficient for both professionals and those who install cabling themselves.

Construction and application

The module is unshielded (UTP), making it an ideal choice for installation in environments with low levels of electromagnetic interference. Made of high-quality polycarbonate reinforced with steel elements (meeting UL 94 V-0 standard) and nickel-plated zinc alloy, it provides durability and resistance to damage. The ability to terminate both tool-free and traditional methods provides flexibility in choosing the installation technique. Universal mounts allow mounting in various network infrastructure elements – patch panels, wall or floor boxes. An important constructional aspect is resistance to damage resulting from plugging in telephone plugs RJ11/RJ12 – a special construction protects the pins from deformation. An integrated dust cover further protects the connector from dirt.

Parameters and benefits

The module has been tested in an independent INTERTEK laboratory (USA), which confirms its high quality and compliance with ISO/IEC 11801 and ANSI/TIA-568 standards. Designed for data transmission speeds up to 10 Gbps (10 Gigabit Ethernet), it supports PoE++ standard (IEEE 802.3bt) enabling power supply for devices up to 100W on four wire pairs (4PPoE). It accepts solid and stranded wires with a diameter of 22-26 AWG, guaranteeing 20 re-termination cycles. Thanks to the use of a diamond wire organizer, wire twisting is minimized, which translates into better transmission parameters. The product is covered by a 25-year system warranty provided that it is installed correctly by a trained installer and the network is certified by measurements.
