Overcurrent circuit breaker, two-pole, with B characteristic and rated current of 6A is a reliable protection for electrical installations. Designed to protect circuits against overloads and short circuits, it will work well in both home and industrial installations. Its compact size – only 2 modules wide – makes it easy to install even in crowded distribution boards.

Protection and functionality

This circuit breaker, compliant with IEC/EN 60898-1 and IEC/EN 60947-2 standards, provides effective protection against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Characteristic B means that the circuit breaker reacts quickly to short-term current surges, but is more tolerant to momentary loads than circuit breakers with characteristic C. This makes it a good choice for circuits with devices with high inrush current, e.g. motors. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 10kA (at 400V and 230V) and 15kA (according to IEC 60947-2) guarantees the safety of the installation in the event of a serious failure.

Installation and parameters

Installation is done on a standard TH35 rail, which significantly speeds up the installation. The circuit breaker has screw terminals allowing the connection of wires with a cross-section from 0.75 mm² to 35 mm² (solid) or 25 mm² (stranded). Energy limitation class 3 and surge category III provide adequate protection in various operating conditions. The degree of protection IP20 protects against accidental contact, but does not provide protection against the effects of water or dust – therefore, the circuit breaker should be mounted in a distribution box enclosure. Operation in ambient temperature from -25°C to +55°C allows it to be used in a wide range of environmental conditions.
