Safety and electrical installation protection
The DS204 AC-C16/0.03 RCBO (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent protection) is a reliable device that combines overcurrent, short-circuit, and earth leakage protection. It is a key element of any electrical installation, ensuring the safety of people and equipment. The four-pole design allows it to be used in three-phase and single-phase circuits with phase separation.
Characteristics and application
The circuit breaker is characterized by a C characteristic, which means it is designed to protect circuits with receivers with high inrush current – such as motors, transformers, or heating devices. The breaking capacity of 6kA guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a short circuit. The rated current of 16A allows protection of typical circuits with medium power consumption. Additionally, the differential current of 30mA provides protection against electric shock in the event of insulation failure. Made in AC technology, it reacts to alternating currents – most commonly found in domestic and industrial installations. Instantaneous tripping time means a quick response to danger.
Installation and design features
The circuit breaker is mounted on a standard TH35 rail, which simplifies and speeds up installation. Compact dimensions (105 mm wide, 85 mm high and 69 mm deep) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. Screw terminals provide a secure connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 35 mm². The device has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching with fingers and solid bodies larger than 12.5 mm – a typical standard for devices mounted inside switchgear cabinets. The inability to simultaneously disconnect the N pole increases the flexibility of installation configuration.
