The ACO Vario grating is a component of the drainage system that effectively traps coarse contaminants and water right at the building entrance. Made of galvanized steel, it ensures durability in harsh atmospheric conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Its construction, based on openings measuring 9/13 mm, allows for effective separation of mud and stones from footwear, which is crucial for maintaining cleanliness inside the premises. Installing this component does not require specialized equipment or complex procedures – the grating is designed to be mounted independently, even without extensive experience in construction work. It is a modular element of the ACO Vario system, meaning it fits perfectly with bases made of polymer concrete (e.g., catalog number 00399) or other compatible sumps. The base under the grating features a ready-made drainage outlet with a diameter of 110 mm, facilitating connection to the sewage system.

The product is suitable for areas with heavy pedestrian traffic:

• Residential areas – entrances to single-family houses, garages, terraces.
• Public facilities – entrances to shops, office buildings, or administrative buildings.
• Transition zones – areas requiring regular cleaning of footwear before entering.

However, it should be noted that the grating is not designed for passenger vehicle traffic. Its load class covers only pedestrian traffic, as well as the passage of wheelchairs or light transport trolleys. Attempting to use it under heavier vehicles may lead to structural damage.

The material – galvanized steel – guarantees resistance to corrosion and moisture, which is essential in wet areas. The construction height of the grating is only 2 cm (20 mm), allowing for aesthetic and safe installation at floor level without creating hazardous thresholds.
