ACO Vario grating made of galvanized steel, 100x50 cm (mesh 9/13 mm) 01209
Grating for drainage, made of galvanized steel
The grating is designed as a modular component of the ACO Vario system – it is mounted directly onto a polymer-concrete or concrete base, creating a clean, durable drainage surface. It is manufactured from galvanized sheet metal, ensuring corrosion resistance even in outdoor conditions – in courtyards, at building entrances, or in pedestrian zones.
The mesh opening with dimensions 9/13 mm allows efficient water passage while blocking larger debris and leaves. It is not intended for vehicle loads – unsuitable for roadways or car parks. Its application is exclusively in pedestrian areas: residential grounds, stairs, terraces, building entrances, and low-traffic commercial zones.
Installation is simple: the grating is placed onto a base of appropriate dimensions (e.g., 100x50 cm), and its edges are stabilized using special hooks or crossbars (e.g., ACO GALA G100). No specialized equipment or extended time is required – an installer can mount it within minutes, even during renovation work.
The grating height is 20 mm – a minimal protrusion above the substrate level, ensuring a smooth transition between the surface and the drainage channel. An integrated ∅ 110 mm drain is built into the base, connecting directly to the sewage network. The entire assembly functions as a closed system – there are no "gaps" between the surface and the channel.
A length of 100 cm and a width of 50 cm are standard dimensions for this type of module – compatible with most existing ACO Vario solutions. No cutting or adaptation is required – the grating works "straight out of the box".
Important note: although the material is galvanized steel, it is not stainless steel. In humid and saline conditions (e.g., winter road treatment), the galvanization may gradually wear – but in typical residential environments, it will last for many years.
