Industrial switch EKI-2525 is a robust and economical solution for building reliable networks in demanding conditions. Designed for industrial applications, it offers 5 Fast Ethernet 10/100 Mbps ports, providing fast and stable data transfer.

Construction and application

The switch features a slim design and a metal housing with IP30 protection, allowing for mounting on both walls and standard DIN rails. This simplifies integration with existing industrial infrastructure. It is an ideal choice for automation systems, video surveillance, or access control, where reliability and resistance to interference are crucial.

Resistance to external conditions

The device operates in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to 75°C, and also in high humidity (5-95%), making it suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. Additional ESD protection (up to 4000 V DC for Ethernet and 3000 V DC for power) protects against surges, increasing network security. The store and forward mechanism with checksums ensures data transmission reliability by verifying the correctness of packets.

Functionality and power supply

EKI-2525 has auto-negotiation speed and auto MDI/MDI-X selection, eliminating the need for crossover cables. Redundant power supply in the range of 12-48 V DC with automatic failover to an equivalent source ensures continuous operation even in the event of a power supply failure. A built-in relay output and LEDs indicate the status of the supply voltage, facilitating diagnostics and maintenance.
