This flanged socket, made of spheroidal cast iron (GJS), is a reliable solution for connecting polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes with water supply fittings. It is suitable for both drinking water installations, irrigation systems and treated wastewater networks, provided they are not chemically aggressive. The connector design ensures connection durability and safety.

Construction and functionality

The key to connection stability is the use of a brass retaining ring. This element effectively prevents the pipe from slipping out of the connector during installation and operation. This is particularly important when working with flexible materials such as PE or PVC. The spheroidal cast iron construction guarantees high resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. In addition, the connector surface is coated with epoxy paint with a thickness of 250-360 µm, which further increases its durability and resistance to external factors.

Application and compliance with standards

The RK DN100 connector is designed to operate at a nominal pressure of 1.0/1.6 MPa (PN 10/16) and meets the requirements of PN-EN 1092-2:1999 regarding flanged connections. Its blue color facilitates identification in the installation.
