Safety group BSS for central heating installations with connection to expansion vessel 9061000
Central heating system safety group – comprehensive protection
The BSS safety group is a reliable solution for central heating installations, providing effective protection against overpressure, as well as enabling system monitoring and venting. Built on a steel beam, it is equipped with a pressure gauge, safety valve and automatic air vent – all in one compact device. Designed to work with diaphragm tanks with a capacity of up to 25 liters, it is an integral part of a safe and efficient heating system.
Functionality and application
The BSS safety group is dedicated to closed systems where the heating medium is water or a mixture of water with glycol (up to 50% concentration). It provides effective protection against pressure increases in the installation, which is crucial for the durability and safety of the entire system. The pressure gauge allows continuous monitoring of the working pressure, and the automatic air vent removes accumulated air, preventing corrosion and performance losses. Therefore, the device not only protects the installation, but also helps maintain optimal operating conditions. The safety group should be installed as close as possible to the boiler, without using shut-off valves between them.
Construction and characteristic features
The BSS group is characterized by a solid construction of a steel beam with a threaded connection to the diaphragm tank (G3/4 inch). The safety valve has a factory-set opening pressure (models with different values are available), and the pressure gauge allows reading the pressure in the range of 0-4 bar. The AFRISO automatic air vent effectively removes air from the installation, minimizing the risk of corrosion and ensuring proper system operation. The device also has a mounting bracket with screw holes to facilitate stable attachment to the wall. It meets the requirements of the PED 2014/68/EU standard and has a Type Examination Certificate issued by the Office of Technical Inspection, confirming its high quality and reliability.
