Lightning protection – freestanding mast

This freestanding four-legged mast, with a height of 10000 mm, is a key element of the lightning protection system. Designed for mounting on roofs and around buildings, it effectively protects structures and equipment from the effects of direct lightning strikes. The mast captures the electrical discharge and safely transfers it to the down conductor network, minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring safety. It is available in two material versions: galvanized steel and aluminum, allowing it to be adapted to specific installation requirements and environmental conditions.

Construction and installation

The mast consists of several key elements that ensure its stability and efficiency: aluminum needle (responsible for capturing discharges), concrete weights (providing structural stability), mats (used for insulation), and a connection for the conductor (allowing connection to the grounding system). The four-legged structure guarantees high stability even in wind zones I, II and III. Concrete weights weighing 4x24 kg do not require additional gluing to the roof covering, which greatly simplifies and speeds up installation. The base diameter of the mast is 2400 mm.

Materials and durability

The mast is made of high-quality materials – galvanized steel or aluminum – which guarantees its corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. Galvanized steel provides mechanical strength, and aluminum provides lightweight construction. The materials used are frost-resistant, allowing the mast to be operated in harsh weather conditions. The weight of the entire set is 140.8 kg.
