Lightning protection – freestanding mast

This freestanding lightning rod mast on a tripod, with a height of 6500 mm, is a key element of a lightning protection system. Designed for outdoor installation, it effectively intercepts direct electrical charge and safely discharges it to the down conductor network, minimizing the risk of damage.

The construction combines the strength of galvanized steel with the lightness and resistance of aluminum, ensuring long-lasting and reliable protection.

Design and application

The mast consists of an aluminum tip, concrete weights, washers, and a connection for the conductor – all in one kit, ready for installation. It is primarily used to protect buildings and metal structural elements of the roof from direct lightning strikes. Its height (6500 mm) provides effective protection even for larger objects. The base made of galvanized steel guarantees stability and corrosion resistance.

Safety confirmed by certificates

The mast has undergone rigorous testing in accordance with PN-EN 62651-1, confirming its effectiveness. The connecting elements of the mast are able to transfer an impact current of up to 200kA – this parameter has been confirmed by a SEP - BBJ Lublin certificate. Thanks to this, the mast meets the requirements of Class I lightning protection, offering the highest level of safety. It is also worth mentioning the wide range of mast diameters (from 10 to 40 mm), which allows it to be adapted to specific installation needs.
