Protection against atmospheric discharges – freestanding mast

This freestanding lightning rod mast is a key element of a system protecting against the effects of atmospheric discharges. Designed for mounting on roofs and near metal structures, it effectively dissipates direct electrical charge to the down conductor network, minimizing the risk of damage. The mast's construction allows it to be set up independently, making it an ideal solution where installing traditional lightning protection systems is difficult.

Construction and assembly

The mast is supplied complete with all the necessary elements for proper operation: a stainless steel needle, a concrete ballast, a grounding pad, and a conductor connector. Made of high-quality stainless steel, it guarantees long-term protection against corrosion and ensures reliable operation for many years. A frost-resistant concrete ballast stabilizes the structure, eliminating the need for gluing to the roofing – which is particularly important in areas exposed to strong winds. The mast height when unfolded is 4000 mm, and its dimensions are 395x392x4070 mm.

Materials and workmanship

The mast is made of stainless steel 304 (V2A), which ensures resistance to weathering and corrosion. Additionally, aluminum and electrolytically galvanized steel were used in the remaining structural elements. The manufacturer, AH Hardt, holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certificates, which confirms high standards of quality management and care for the natural environment. This guarantees the product's solidity and reliability. The needle does not have high-voltage insulation.
