Telecommunications cable for outdoor applications

This Cat.6 U/UTP cable, designed for outdoor installations, is a robust solution for telecommunications networks and CCTV systems. Made of high-quality copper with a UV and moisture-resistant PE coating, it ensures reliable data transmission even in harsh weather conditions. A gel coating protects against water ingress, allowing the cable to be directly buried in the ground or placed in cable ducts – where there is no risk of mechanical damage.

The cable is compatible with Gigabit Ethernet (1Gb/s) and offers potential for 10Gb/s over shorter distances (up to 55m). Fire reaction class Fca provides additional safety. Thanks to the use of a cross-core insert, inter-pair interference is minimized, resulting in signal stability.

Construction and parameters

The cable consists of four twisted pairs of copper conductors with a cross-section of 23 AWG (0.56 mm²), insulated with polyethylene. The cable core is filled with a hydrophobic gel, which acts as a moisture barrier. The outer sheath is made of polyethylene (PE) to protect the cable from external factors. The lack of shielding (U/UTP) makes the cable flexible and easy to install, but requires maintaining an appropriate distance from sources of electromagnetic interference.

The cable length on the spool is 305 meters, which facilitates its transport and installation. The product complies with EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 (CPR), confirming its compliance with European safety standards.
