Construction and materials
The disconnect is distinguished by the use of high-quality materials. The fuse cover is made of durable plastic, providing insulation and protection against external factors. The fuse holder, designed to operate at 500V and a rated current of 25A, is made of glazed porcelain – this guarantees resistance to weather conditions and longevity. The upper and lower contacts, made of brass, ensure a secure electrical connection. Additionally, metal elements are protected against corrosion with special protective coatings. The upper contact thread is a standard E27, making replacement and servicing easier.
Mounting and compatibility
The disconnect is easy and intuitive to install – it is designed for mounting on bundles of insulated AsXS(n) or non-insulated AL wires, as well as on piercing clamps from various manufacturers. The connectable conductor cross-section at BN-25A ranges from 1.5mm to 10mm. The design based on support insulators and a bearing movable beam ensures simultaneous closing and opening of all poles – this is important for quick and safe circuit disconnection if necessary. The current path consists of main and arcing contacts, mounted on support cassettes directly on the support insulators.
