Construction and application
The RUN III SA 24/4 disconnect switch is a three-pole device integrated with a grounding function. Its construction is based on a common steel frame, hot-dip galvanized to ensure high corrosion resistance. Each pole of the disconnect switch is mounted on two support insulators – one attached to the frame and the other to a bearing movable beam. This solution ensures simultaneous closing and opening of all poles, which simplifies operation and increases safety. The device is adapted for vertical mounting directly on a pole or horizontal mounting on a supporting structure.
The current path of each pole consists of main and auxiliary (arcing) contacts, mounted on support cassettes. The main contacts are made of tinned copper flat bars, which ensures excellent conductivity and protection against corrosion. Flexible joints in the movable contacts minimize the risk of damage to the conductors during switching on and off. Additionally, the use of silicone insulators (in the S version) increases resistance to weather conditions and provides long-lasting insulation.
