The RUNp III SA 24/4 air disconnect switch-earthing device is a key element of power infrastructure, designed for safe and efficient connection and disconnection of conductors in medium voltage overhead lines. The device is widely used both with surge arresters and with branches from non-insulated aluminum conductors to insulated AsXSn type conductors with a cross-section from 16 to 120 mm². Thanks to the possibility of AL-Cu connections, it provides flexibility in the selection of conductive materials.
Construction and design features
The disconnect switch is based on a solid housing made of plastic, resistant to UV radiation and other atmospheric factors, which guarantees long-lasting and reliable operation in harsh outdoor conditions. The piercing clamps are made of a tin-plated aluminum alloy profile, and the class 8.8 clamping screw is hot-dip galvanized – this combination provides excellent conductive properties and corrosion resistance. The contact points filled with contact paste minimize electrical resistance and improve conductivity. Additionally, equipped with a tear-off nut, the clamp provides additional protection against accidental disconnection.
