The AT-MBUS-NE-01 pulse module is a solution for remote reading of industrial water meters that does not require modification of the meter itself.

Designed for mounting on Apator Powogaz MWN and JS water meters with diameters DN40–300, the module operates contactlessly — it scans the reflective pointer of the register using optoelectronics. This means there are no mechanical contact elements that could wear out, cause interference, or fail due to moisture or dust. Installation is simple: there is no need to interfere with the meter's legalization, no need to move pipes or valves — it is sufficient to mount the overlay on the register.

Operates in harsh conditions and is immune to interference

The IP65 rating guarantees full protection against dust and water jets — the module can be safely installed in basements, garages, ducts, or outdoors. Additionally, its construction is completely immune to external magnetic fields — no magnet, tool, or electromagnetic device affects it. This is crucial for installations in industrial facilities where motors, transformers, or other sources of interference are present.

Transmits data with flow direction recognition

The module not only counts pulses — it recognizes the direction of water flow. If water flows backward (e.g., due to pressure drop or system testing), the module detects and records it separately. This helps avoid errors in consumption balancing and enables detection of potential leaks or incorrect system layout.

Battery-powered — no need for electrical connection

It does not require external power. It operates on a built-in battery with a lifespan of up to 10 years — eliminating maintenance costs and the need for frequent servicing. The connection cable is 1.5 m long and four-core — a standard length for most installations.

Two programmable pulse outputs

They can be configured for various needs: e.g., one for a remote reading system (MBus), the other for a local meter or alarm. The pulse value ranges from 0.1 ÷ 25 m³/imp — enabling precise measurement even at low flow rates. There is no need to replace the module when changing the meter type — it is sufficient to adjust the parameters accordingly.
