Flexible, pre-insulated double pipe for heating systems and heat pumps

The pipe is made of cross-linked PE-Xa with an EVOH anti-diffusion barrier, ensuring complete protection against oxygen ingress into the heating circuit—extending the lifespan of boilers and heat exchangers. The red barrier simplifies identification of the supply line versus the return line during installation. The inner wall is smooth, reducing flow resistance—resulting in lower pump load and reduced energy costs.

Thermal insulation consists of closed-cell microcellular XPE foam with water absorption below 1%—it does not absorb moisture, even during prolonged use in underground or humid conditions. This is critical for maintaining a consistent U-value of 0.339 W/m·K. The insulation is free of freons, and its production is environmentally friendly.

The outer jacket is made of HDPE with corrugated structure—enabling pipe bending without damaging the insulation while providing mechanical resistance to compression and damage during transport and installation. The minimum bending radius is 0.6 m, allowing the pipe to easily adapt to irregular routing, even in confined spaces.

Maximum operating temperature is +95°C, with a working pressure of up to 6.6 bar at this temperature—sufficient for most central heating and heat pump systems. The pipe has an SDR 11 rating, indicating an optimal ratio of wall thickness to internal diameter, ensuring durability alongside flexibility.

One coil can reach up to 260 meters in length—significantly reducing the number of joints and thus the risk of leaks. Installation is faster: no need to insulate pipes on-site, and no requirement for vapor barriers or external casings.

Weight is 1.8 kg/m—easy to transport and handle, even in hard-to-reach locations. The system requires no maintenance—it does not corrode, needs no anti-corrosion coatings, and does not degrade like steel.

Application and Installation

Primarily designed for district heating networks: supply and return lines in central heating systems, heat pumps, and domestic hot water (DHW) systems. May also be used in cooling systems or for transporting low-aggressiveness chemicals.

During installation, thermal expansion of PE-Xa must be considered—at 70°C, it expands approximately 10 mm per meter of length. Installation of fixed points and expansion loops is mandatory to prevent stress and joint damage.

The pipe is supplied as a single continuous length (1 piece = 1 meter), eliminating the need for on-site gluing or welding. All connections are made using standard threaded or press-fit fittings; special accessories are available: heat-shrink end caps, fixed points, and rubber terminations.

The system operates maintenance-free—once properly installed, it requires no further intervention throughout its entire service life.
