Thermal insulation for heating and sanitary installations

Tubolit DG polyethylene sheathing is a flexible insulation material with a closed-cell structure, designed for effective thermal and acoustic insulation of pipes in central heating, domestic hot and cold water systems, and others. Made of polyethylene-based foam, it provides effective protection against energy losses, reducing operating costs and environmental impact. It is important to remember that in the initial phase of use, the sheathing may shrink by about 2% (or more under specific conditions), which should be taken into account during installation.

Properties and application

Tubolit DG is characterized by a very low thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.04 W/(m·K), which translates to a reduction in energy losses of up to 90%. This significantly improves the energy efficiency of the building and reduces CO2 emissions. The product has a fire reaction class E according to EN 13501-1, providing a basic level of fire safety. The sheathing thickness is 30 mm, allowing it to be adapted to different insulation requirements.

The sheathing finds wide application in:

• Insulation of heating pipes in central heating systems.
• Protection of hot and cold water pipes against heat loss and condensation.
• Insulation of sanitary installations in residential and industrial buildings.
• Protection of pipes against the influence of aggressive building materials.

Installation and additional information

Tubolit DG is easy to install and flexible, making it easy to adapt to different shapes and pipe diameters. It is recommended to use dedicated Armacell adhesives and tools for installation to ensure a durable and tight connection. During installation, remember the appropriate ambient temperature (above +5°C) and the possible shrinkage of the material, increasing the length of the sheathing by 2-3%. The entire range of Tubolit products has the CE mark, confirming compliance with European regulations and standards PN-EN 14313:2009. The product is resistant to commonly used building materials such as cement, lime or gypsum.
