Tubolit DG Grey polyethylene insulation TL-50/13-DG /2m/
Product features
- High flexibility
- Wide range of applications
Tubolit DG is a flexible insulation wrap made of closed-cell polyethylene foam. The product is designed for thermal insulation and protection of pipes in central heating, domestic hot and cold water systems, and other systems. Thanks to its properties, Tubolit DG effectively reduces energy losses, prevents condensation, and reduces noise. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and building owners who care about energy efficiency.
Properties and benefits
- Low thermal conductivity (0.04 W/(m·K)): significantly reduces heat loss, resulting in lower heating and cooling costs.
- Fire reaction class E: provides a basic level of fire safety, in accordance with PN-EN 14313:2009.
- Flexibility and ease of installation: makes it easy to fit pipes of different diameters and shapes, reducing installation time.
- Protection against condensation: prevents moisture from forming on the surface of cold water pipes, protecting against corrosion and damage.
- Resistance to building materials: is resistant to cement, lime and gypsum, ensuring the durability of the insulation in contact with various construction materials.
- Noise reduction: reduces sound transmission in installations, improving the acoustic comfort of the building (noise reduction up to 30 dB(A)).
- CE marking: confirms compliance with European regulations and standards, guaranteeing high product quality.
Application and installation
Tubolit DG wrap is used in a wide range of installations:
- Central heating (c.o.) installations.
- Domestic hot and cold water installations.
- Air conditioning and ventilation systems.
- Drainage pipes.
Installation is simple and does not require specialized tools – the wrap should be fitted to the pipe diameter and secured with, for example, aluminum tape or clamping straps (not included). The insulation thickness (27 mm) should be selected depending on the requirements of building codes and the operating conditions of the installation. It is important to take into account the potential shrinkage of the wrap during the initial phase of operation of the installation (up to approx. 2%).
