This presence sensor from B.E.G. is an ideal solution for automating lighting in rooms. Thanks to a wide detection angle of 360° and a range of up to 10 meters, it provides convenience and energy savings. Surface mounting makes installation quick and easy, and the white housing (RAL 9010 shade) blends well with most interiors.

Functionality and application

The sensor uses passive infrared (PIR) technology to detect movement in the room. It reacts to temperature changes caused by the movement of people, automatically turning the light on and off. Using this type of sensor is not only comfortable, but also real savings on energy bills – the light is only on when it is needed. This makes it suitable for both homes and apartments, as well as offices, corridors, warehouses or public utility facilities.

Construction features and parameters

The sensor design is designed for durability and reliability. Impact resistance IK04 guarantees resistance to mechanical damage, and protection class IP44 provides resistance to splashing water – which allows its use even in rooms with increased humidity. The maximum detection range directly is 6 meters, and laterally up to 10 meters, allowing you to adapt the sensor to different room sizes. Adjustable brightness threshold value (10-2000 lx) allows you to adjust the sensor's sensitivity to prevailing lighting conditions – so you can avoid unnecessary turning on the light during the day. The minimum switching time is 30 seconds, and the maximum 30 minutes – these parameters can also be adjusted to individual user needs.
