Ladder Reducer – Symmetrical Transition Between Different Widths

This symmetrical ladder reducer enables smooth connection between sections of different widths in cable tray installations. It is a critical solution when designing cable routes requiring a change in cross-section, such as at branches or when adapting to available space. Constructed from steel, it ensures strength and reliable joint performance.

Design and Application

The RDSC300/200H60 reducer allows a transition from 300 mm to 200 mm tray width. The 2.0 mm thick steel plate guarantees sufficient rigidity and load-bearing capacity. Hot-dip galvanizing provides corrosion protection, especially important in harsh environmental conditions. The product meets the E-90 fire resistance rating, meaning it maintains structural integrity for 90 minutes during a fire—essential for applications requiring high fire safety standards.

Additionally, the reducer is compatible with cable clips UK/UKO… and UKP…, facilitating organized and efficient cable routing along the tray. Installation requires LDCH… connectors and SGKM8x14 or SGM8x14 screws (4 connectors and 16 screw sets needed).

Materials and Finish Options

Standard construction is made from steel galvanized using the Sendzimir process (PN-EN 10346:2015-09). Upon request, the reducer is also available in:

• Hot-dip galvanized steel (PN-EN ISO 1461:2023-02) – offering superior corrosion resistance;
• Stainless steel – ideal for aggressive chemical environments or applications requiring high hygiene standards;
• Painted version in standard RAL color palette – allowing color matching to the environment or design requirements.
