Symmetrical reduction for cable trays – change in tray width

This symmetrical reduction, made of steel, is designed to enable a smooth transition between cable tray widths. It is a critical component in electrical and telecommunications installations, allowing the system to adapt to changing requirements and configurations. The use of this reduction ensures precise alignment of cable trays, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of the installation.

Construction and application

The RKSBP500/400H60 reduction connects cable trays with a width of 500 mm to those with a width of 400 mm. The tray height for which this reduction is designed is 60 mm. The reduction’s sheet thickness is 1.5 mm, ensuring strength and stability. It is manufactured from steel and protected by hot-dip galvanizing, guaranteeing corrosion resistance and long-term performance even under harsh environmental conditions.

Installation is performed using SGKM6x12 or SGM6x12 screws – standard items readily available on the market. For non-standard orders, it is essential to specify dimensions 'a' and 'b' (e.g., for a reduction connecting 400 mm and 200 mm elements, order RK…400/200H60).

Materials and available options

Standardly, the reduction is supplied with steel coated using the Sendzimir method (PN-EN 10346:2015-09). Custom options available upon request:

• Hot-dip galvanized steel (PN-EN ISO 1461:2023-02) – provides even higher corrosion resistance.
• Stainless steel – ideal for aggressive chemical environments or applications requiring high hygiene standards.
• Painting in standard RAL color palette – allows the reduction’s color to match the surrounding environment or installation color scheme.

The reduction meets the E-90 fire resistance rating, ensuring circuit integrity for 90 minutes in the event of a fire.
