Wind deflector for photovoltaic structures
The OWN20/2.12NMC wind deflector is a structural element designed for mounting on flat roofs with panels set at an angle of 10°, 15° or 20°. Its main function is to improve the aerodynamics of the entire installation, which reduces the load on the structure and reduces the amount of ballast needed to stabilize it. This makes installation more economical and less stressful for the roof.
The deflector is made of S350GD steel and coated with one of the anti-corrosion coatings: Magnelis®, MagiZinc® or PosMAC – which guarantees long-lasting protection against the effects of the weather. It is compatible with UPG...MC brackets equipped with M8 threaded holes.
Construction and assembly
The deflector design has been carefully thought out in terms of ease and speed of assembly. It is equipped with special cutouts allowing for breaking off the covers without leaving sharp edges, which increases safety during work. Dense perforation allows for adaptation to different types of photovoltaic panels. Additionally, cutouts facilitating screwing the deflector to the upper bracket panels significantly speed up the installation process.
To mount the deflector to the UPG...MC bracket, the following elements are required: SSZ8X12E + PW8E + PS8E. For the CP50H35/...MC channel, you will need: SAM8x25E + PS8E + PW8E + NRKM8PV. Remember to use the enlarged washer PW8E between the deflector and the UPG...MC bracket – this is crucial for correct assembly.
