The OWN20/2.4NMC wind deflector is a structural element designed for mounting on flat roofs with photovoltaic panels with a tilt of 10°, 15° or 20°. Its main function is to improve the aerodynamic properties of the entire installation, which translates into a reduction in the load on the structure and a potential reduction in the amount of ballast needed to stabilize it. The deflectors fit UPG...MC brackets equipped with M8 threaded holes, ensuring quick and easy installation. Made of S350GD steel with Magnelis®, MagiZinc® or PosMAC coating, they guarantee exceptional corrosion resistance and long-lasting reliability even in harsh weather conditions.
Construction and mounting – well-thought-out solutions for professionals
The deflector design has been refined for functionality and ease of installation. Special reinforcing and stiffening embossments ensure structural strength, and precisely designed cutouts allow for breaking out hole covers without leaving sharp edges – this increases installer safety. Dense perforation allows for universal mounting to different types of photovoltaic panels. Additionally, special cutouts facilitate screwing the deflector directly onto the upper bracket panels.
To mount the deflector to the UPG...MC bracket, the following elements are required: SSZ8X12E + PW8E + PS8E. For mounting to the CP50H35/...MC channel, the following are needed: SAM8x25E + PS8E + PW8E + NRKM8PV. Remember to use the enlarged washer PW8E between the deflector and the UPG...MC bracket – this is crucial for correct installation and ensuring stability.
