Coaxial cable for broadband installations
Belden H155 PE coaxial cable is a high-quality cable designed for applications requiring good signal quality and low loss. It is suitable for antenna installations, monitoring systems, and broadband connections. The construction with a copper strand and a double shield ensures signal stability and resistance to interference.
This cable is particularly recommended for connections up to 20-30 meters in length, where signal attenuation is comparable to thick RG-213 cables. It is an excellent alternative to RG-58 cables, offering significantly better parameters.
Construction and properties
The Belden H155 PE cable is characterized by a solid construction. The inner conductor made of a 1.41 mm diameter copper strand provides good conductivity. Foam polyethylene (foam PE) insulation minimizes signal loss, and a double shield – aluminum-polyester foil (AL-PET-AL) and tinned copper braid (80% density) – effectively protects against electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyethylene (PE) outer jacket, resistant to weather conditions.
Thanks to this, the cable is flexible, easy to install and resistant to mechanical damage. The minimum bending radius is 35 mm, which makes it easier to route the cable in tight spaces.
Parameters and applications
The H155 PE cable has a wave impedance of 50 Ohms and is characterized by low signal attenuation at different frequencies. The attenuation values are respectively for frequencies: 10 MHz – 3.0 dB/100m, 50 MHz – 6.5 dB/100m, 100 MHz – 9.3 dB/100m, 400 MHz – 19.0 dB/100m, 860 MHz – 28.5 dB/100m and 1000 MHz – 30.9 dB/100m.
