BERMAD 730 priority valve, DN65 WW-2 1/2"-730 -LE
Automatic hydraulic valve for pressure control in water installations
The BERMAD 730 priority valve is an advanced hydraulic device designed to automatically maintain the operating parameters of water installations, particularly in fire protection systems. By utilizing GGG 40 ductile iron and an NBR membrane, the device ensures long-term operation in installations with pressures up to 16 bar.
Construction and materials ensuring durability
The body made of GGG 40 ductile iron guarantees high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, resulting in long-term operation without the need for frequent servicing. The nitrile rubber (NBR) membrane maintains flexibility across a wide temperature range and is resistant to mineral oils and many industrial chemicals.
The nominal diameter DN 65 and pressure rating PN 16 allow for operation in medium and large flow installations at a maximum working pressure of 16 bar. This specification makes the valve suitable for both municipal systems and industrial water installations.
Hydraulic functionality and automatic control
The valve performs two key functions simultaneously: it maintains a minimum set pressure value regardless of flow fluctuations on the downstream side and reduces excess pressure in the network once the setpoint is exceeded. Hydraulic control eliminates the need for electrical power, ensuring operation even during power failures—which is critical for fire protection systems.
Anti-cavitation design protects against harmful cavitation processes that can damage the valve's internal components and cause noise and vibration in the installation. The glycerin-filled pressure gauge enables precise control of operating parameters and is resistant to vibrations, ensuring a stable reading even in difficult conditions.
Practical applications and operational benefits
In fire protection systems, the valve automatically prioritizes water availability during firefighting operations, maintaining the required pressure and flow parameters for the fire system regardless of other network consumers. In water installations, it protects pumps from overload and cavitation by ensuring minimum flow and controlling maximum pressure.
The valve's application also includes controlled pipeline filling, preventing system drainage during downtime, and compensating for changes in groundwater levels. Thanks to the highest Kv coefficient on the market, BERMAD valves are characterized by the lowest hydraulic losses and laminar flows, which translates to lower operating costs for the entire system.
The valve enables precise pressure regulation without the need for frequent setting adjustments during normal operation.
