The UP-EKOZ rod earth electrode is sharpened, so it does not require the use of a tip. It can be used as a single earthing riser, or it is hammered first and then extended, depending on the needs, by further segments using the UP-EKO earth electrodes. The segments are connected by setting them in a hole on a wedge mandrel and striking with a hand or power hammer. As a result of the impact force, the splines cut into the socket, ensuring a firm mechanical and tight connection of the segments.
