Heat exchanger for heat pumps – efficiency and durability
This plate heat exchanger, catalog number 075315, is specifically designed for use with heat pumps up to 5 kW, utilizing geothermal energy. It is a key component of the installation, ensuring optimal heat transfer between the ground loop and the central heating and/or domestic hot water system. PLEX 310-20 is a proven component in NIBE F1145, F1245, F1145 PC, F1245PC and F1345 systems.
Construction and materials – a guarantee of reliability
The heat exchanger is made of stainless steel (SS 23 43), which ensures high corrosion resistance and long-term operation, even in harsh environmental conditions. The plates of the exchanger are brazed, which increases tightness and heat exchange efficiency. The whole is protected by polyurethane foam insulation (corresponding to approx. 70 mm of mineral wool) covered with ABS, minimizing heat loss and water vapor condensation.
Technical parameters and application
PLEX 310-20 is characterized by a primary circuit flow rate of 6 m³/h and a secondary circuit flow rate of 1 m³/h. Its power is 11 kW, and the maximum flow temperature is 185°C. The construction with 20 plates provides a large heat exchange surface with compact dimensions (360 x 112 x 112 mm). The main and secondary connections have an external thread with a nominal diameter of 1 inch (25 mm) and a connection spacing of 250 mm. The maximum differential pressure at a temperature of 20°C is 3 bar.
- Heat pump performance optimization: Ensures efficient transfer of energy from the ground to the home installation.
- Durability and resistance: Stainless steel construction guarantees long life even in demanding conditions.
- Minimization of heat loss: Polyurethane foam insulation reduces energy losses and prevents condensation.
- Compact dimensions: Facilitate installation in a limited space of the boiler room or technical room.
- Versatility: Compatible with popular NIBE heat pump models, making it easier to modernize existing installations or build new heating systems.
- Wide temperature range: Adapted to work in the secondary circuit temperature range from -195°C to +185°C, which ensures flexibility of use in various heating systems.
