Heat exchanger for heat pumps – efficiency and reliability
PLEX 310-40 is a high-performance plate heat exchanger dedicated to working with heat pumps with a power of 5-6 kW, using energy from the ground. Its construction is designed for optimal heat transfer, which translates into efficient heating and reduced operating costs. Made of stainless steel, it guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in difficult conditions.
The PLEX 310-40 heat exchanger is particularly recommended for heating systems using groundwater, where the stable source temperature ensures high heat pump efficiency. Thanks to its compact dimensions (360 mm x 160 mm x 112 mm) it is easy to install in a limited space. It is compatible with popular models of NIBE F1145, F1245, F1145 PC and F1245PC and F1345 heat pumps.
Construction and operating parameters
The PLEX 310-40 heat exchanger is characterized by a solid brazed construction, ensuring high tightness and corrosion resistance. The use of 40 plates made of acid-resistant steel (SS 23 43) maximizes the heat exchange surface, which translates into high device efficiency. The flow rate of the primary circuit is 8 m³/h, and the secondary – 1 m³/h, which ensures optimal adaptation to the installation parameters. Connections with a nominal diameter of 1 inch (25 mm) on both sides facilitate integration with the existing heating system.
Additionally, the heat exchanger has polyurethane foam insulation (corresponding to approximately 70 mm of mineral wool), covered with ABS plastic, minimizing heat loss and increasing the energy efficiency of the entire system. The maximum flow temperature is 185°C and the maximum differential pressure at a temperature of 20°C is 3 bar. The connection spacing is 250 mm, which facilitates installation in an existing installation. It is also worth mentioning the possibility of using insulation cladding for additional protection against heat loss.
