The BiT 1000 (St) FR control cable is a universal solution for industrial installations and automation. Thanks to its metallized foil shielding with a grounding wire, it provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference, making it an ideal choice for control and automation systems.

Electrical and environmental parameters

The construction based on 2 cores with a cross-section of 1,0 mm² made of class 5 copper (flexible multi-strand) guarantees optimal conductivity while maintaining flexibility. The rated voltage of 0,6/1kV allows for a wide spectrum of applications in control installations.

The operating temperature from -40°C to +80°C (fixed installations) and from -5°C to +80°C (flexible installations) enables use in harsh environmental conditions. Resistance to UV radiation and most oils further expands the range of applications.

Construction and materials

The insulation and sheath made of PVC provide reliable mechanical and chemical protection. The common shield in the form of Al-PET foil effectively protects signals from external electromagnetic interference.

Digitally identified cores facilitate installation and service. An approximate outer diameter of 8,9 mm with a weight of 102 kg/km represents an optimal compromise between flexibility and mechanical strength.

Safety and standards

The cable meets the requirements of the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding flame retardancy on a single cable and has a fire reaction class of Eca. The voltage test at a frequency of 50Hz is 4000V, and the insulation resistance is 20 MΩ x km.

The minimum bending radius is 12 x Ø for flexible connections and 6 x Ø for fixed installations, respectively. The permissible laying temperature is a minimum of -5°C.
