Flexible control cable for demanding industrial applications

The BiT 1000 (St) FR control cable is a universal solution for control and signaling circuits in industrial environments. Thanks to its class 5 flexible design and metallized foil shielding, it ensures reliable operation in both fixed installations and moving connections.

Cable construction and materials

The construction is based on three copper cores with a cross-section of 1 mm² each, classified as class 5 = multi-wire flexible. Each core is insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the whole is protected by a black PVC sheath with enhanced resistance.

A special feature is the metallized foil shielding with a grounding wire, which effectively protects control signals from electromagnetic interference. The cores are identified by colors and numbers, which significantly facilitates installation and maintenance.

Operating parameters and safety

The cable operates at a rated voltage U/U₀ = 1/0,6 kV with an insulation resistance of 20 MΩ×km. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C for fixed installations and -5°C to +80°C for moving connections. The minimum bending radius is 56,4 mm (fixed) or 112,8 mm (moving).

Regarding fire safety, the product meets the requirements of the following standards:

• IEC 60332-1-2 (single cable)
• IEC 60332-3-24 category C (cable bundle)

The CPR classification Eca and oil resistance according to IEC 60811-404 ensure safe use in industrial environments.

Thanks to its universal design, the cable is suitable for:

• Outdoor applications due to UV resistance
• Direct burial in the ground

Particularly recommended for fire-prone installations - it limits the spread of fire along the cable installation. It is suitable for dry and humid rooms as well as outdoors.
