BiT 1000 (St) 52G0.75 Control Cable – A reliable choice for demanding conditions
The BiT 1000 (St) 52G0.75 is a multi-core control cable designed for signal transmission and power supply of equipment in harsh industrial environments, particularly in mining. The cable’s construction, based on copper conductors insulated with PVC, ensures reliable operation even under demanding conditions. It is specifically intended for use in open-pit, borehole, and underground mines, where resistance to mechanical damage and external factors is critical.
Construction and properties
The cable features a design that ensures high flexibility and ease of installation. Constructed with copper conductors of 0.75 mm² cross-section, insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it has an outer sheath also made of PVC. This construction guarantees excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, and chemical agents. The cable complies with fire safety standards – class Eca according to EN 13501-6 – enhancing installation safety. Note that the cable does not possess self-extinguishing properties (no classification regarding the formation of burning drops/particles).
Applications and Benefits
The BiT 1000 (St) 52G0.75 cable is widely used in:
- Mining Industry: Powering equipment and transmitting signals in open-pit, borehole, and underground mines (outside explosive zones).
- Energy Industry: As part of control and automation systems.
- Construction: Electrical installations in industrial and public utility facilities.
- Machinery and Equipment: Powering control elements and sensors.
Using this cable provides:
- High Reliability: Robust construction ensures long-term, fault-free operation.
- Safety: Compliance with fire safety standards increases installation safety.
- Flexibility: Facilitates installation and routing in confined spaces.
- Resistance to External Conditions: Ensures proper operation in harsh industrial environments.
- Wide Operating Temperature Range: From -30°C to +70°C, enabling use in various climatic conditions. Minimum installation temperature: -5°C.
Additional information on electrical parameters (rated voltage 1000 V / 600 V) and mechanical properties (minimum bending radius for fixed installation: 6xØ, for moving applications: 10xØ) allows for optimal cable selection for specific applications. Remember that the permissible pulling force during installation depends on the total cross-sectional area of the current-carrying conductors.
