The BiT 500 BLACK FR control cable is a shielded solution for automation systems, specifically designed for use in power control and protection devices as well as industrial control circuits. The 4-pair twisted construction with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² each enables stable transmission of control signals in applications requiring resistance to electromagnetic interference.

The product is suitable for both fixed installations and flexible connections in industrial devices, technological lines, and machinery operating in dry and humid environments. Thanks to its UV-resistant coating and the ability for direct burial in the ground, it finds application in outdoor installations - from simple connections between distribution cabinets to advanced building automation systems.

Technical construction and materials

The cable core consists of class 5 multi-wire copper conductors according to PN-EN 60228, ensuring high flexibility while maintaining connection durability. Each conductor has PVC insulation and is marked with black numbers for easy identification during assembly.

The construction includes a common shield made of metallized foil along with a grounding wire - this solution effectively protects transmitted signals from the influence of external electromagnetic fields, which is crucial for the stability of industrial automation systems.

The outer sheath made of special flame-retardant PVC is characterized by increased resistance to UV radiation and O2 class oil resistance according to EN 60811-404. The black color of the sheath not only ensures the aesthetics of the installation but also provides additional protection against atmospheric conditions.

Operating parameters and operational safety

The cable operates at a voltage of U0/U = 300/500V, and the 50Hz voltage test is 3000V. The insulation resistance reaches a value of 20MΩ×km, guaranteeing safe operation for many years.

The operating temperature range is wide: for fixed installations from -40°C to +80°C, and for flexible connections from -5°C to +80°C. The minimum bending radius is 6×Ø for fixed installation and 10×Ø for flexible connections, respectively.

Mechanical parameters include an outer diameter of 11.7 mm and a unit weight of 160 kg/km. The construction ensures high durability of the connections thanks to specialized insulating materials and a well-thought-out conductor structure.

Normative compliance and certification

The product meets the requirements of PN-EN 50575 (CPR), EN 60332-1-2, and EN 60332-3-24 category C regarding the fire resistance of electrical cables. The reaction to fire classification according to EN 13501-6 defines the product as class Eca.

Compliance with RoHS 2015/863/EU and LVD 2014/35/EU directives confirms the safe use of the product in electrical installations within the European Union. The manufacturer provides a warranty for a period of 24 months, which testifies to the high quality of workmanship and the reliability of the solution in the long-term operation of industrial automation systems.
