BiT 500 2(St) 5x2x0.5 control cable is a flexible solution designed for internal installations where high reliability and resistance to interference are required. The construction with double shielding – aluminum foil surrounding each pair of wires and additional overall foil – minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in control and automation systems. This cable is used in industry, commercial construction, and installations requiring precise transmission of control signals.

Construction and properties

BiT 500 cables are characterized by a construction that provides both flexibility and durability. Copper wires with flexibility class 5 (stranded) facilitate installation and routing in tight spaces. PVC insulation provides good resistance to mechanical and chemical factors, as well as protection against electric shock. Wire numbering simplifies the identification of individual wires during installation and maintenance. Additionally, shielding with aluminum foil and an earthing wire increases safety and improves signal quality.

This cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C, making it suitable for use in various environmental conditions. The minimum bending radius (52 mm for fixed installations and 104 mm for mobile installations) allows for easy routing of the cable even in complex systems. The cable weight is 158 kg/km, and its outer diameter is approximately 10.4 mm. It should be noted that the cable does not have self-extinguishing properties (fire reaction class Eca) nor is it oil-resistant.
