The BiT 500 C 24x2x0.5 control cable is a flexible, multi-core cable designed for internal installations. The construction with a braided copper screen provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in control and automation systems. Numbered cores facilitate identification and connection, and the core class 5 guarantees high flexibility and resistance to bending.
Construction and properties
The BiT 500 C cable features a solid construction. It has insulation and an outer jacket made of PVC, providing good resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The braided screen minimizes the influence of interference on the signal, and oil resistance (according to IEC 60811-404) allows for use in environments exposed to contact with oils. It should be noted that the cable does not have a protective barrier or is halogen-free. The cable consists of 24 twisted pairs, each containing 2 cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm². The screen is made of tinned copper braided screen, providing 85% coverage and high shielding effectiveness. Core insulation and the outer jacket are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the jacket is gray. The rated voltage of the cable is 300/500 V, and the permissible operating temperature is from -40°C to +80°C. The minimum bending radius for fixed installation is 95.5 mm, and for flexible installations – 191 mm.
