The BiT 500 control cable is a flexible solution designed for use in energetic control and protection devices, as well as in control circuits. It is suitable for both fixed and mobile installations, in industrial equipment, technological lines and machines operating in dry and humid environments. This cable is ideal for powering low-power receivers.

Construction and properties

The BiT 500 cable is characterized by a construction with multi-wire copper conductors of class 5 (according to PN-EN 60228), PVC insulation and an outer coating of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). A braid of tinned copper strands with a coverage density of 85% provides effective shielding against electromagnetic interference. The cores are numbered with colors, which facilitates identification. In addition, the cable has a common screen in the form of a braid. Thanks to this, installers can count on easy and quick connections, and end users – on reliable system operation.

Application and operating parameters

The BiT 500 cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 300/500 V. The minimum bending radius for mobile installations is 82 mm, and for fixed installations – 41 mm. The cable is resistant to the action of oils (according to IEC 60811-404) and has a fire reaction class of Eca (EN 13501-6). The permissible ambient temperature during operation is from -40°C to +80°C. The cable meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding fire resistance. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.2 mm.
