Construction and Properties
The BiT 500 (St) CH 27x0.5 cable stands out with a meticulous construction ensuring long-term, fault-free operation. It uses class 5 fine-stranded copper conductors (per PN-EN 60228), delivering excellent flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. The insulation is made from a special halogen-free compound that, in the event of fire, minimizes the emission of toxic gases—enhancing safety for users and installers. Double shielding ensures effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC): a metallized foil and a braid of galvanized copper wires. The outer sheath is also made from a special halogen-free, self-extinguishing compound, further improving fire safety.
Black conductors with numbering simplify identification during installation and servicing. The cable offers high flexibility, facilitating installation in confined spaces and dynamic applications.
Additionally, the cable complies with IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24 (Category C) standards, confirming its fire resistance. Its fire reaction class is Dca, acidity class a1, and smoke emission class s1 according to EN 13501-6. This ensures full compliance with stringent safety requirements. The minimum bending radius is 70.5 mm for fixed installations and 141 mm for moving applications. The rated voltage is 300/500 V, and the conductor resistance at 20°C is 39 Ω/km.
