Fiber optic cable BiTfiber Z-XOTKtmsd 72J (6x12) FO0126
Universal fiber optic cable for microducts and FTTH
The BiTfiber Z-XOTKtmsd 72J (6x12) cable is a micro-telecommunication cable designed for outdoor installations. Its construction, based on a dielectric FRP rod, provides resistance to electromagnetic interference and makes the cable fully non-conductive. This solution minimizes the risk of damage caused by overvoltage or induced currents.
This cable is particularly recommended for building FTTH (Fiber to the Home) networks and local access networks with various configurations. It performs perfectly in microducts – thanks to its small outer diameter (approx. 5.7 mm) it can be easily blown into distances of up to 2000 meters. The use of a thixotropic gel inside the tubes protects the optical fibers from moisture and mechanical damage during installation and operation. An additional tear tape facilitates access to the fibers during splicing.
Construction and user parameters
The cable consists of six tubes, each containing twelve single-mode optical fibers of type 9/125 µm (SM OS2 G.652D). The central dielectric element made of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) eliminates problems related to grounding and corrosion. A polyethylene filler and a moisture-resistant sealing with swelling yarn further protect the cable from the effects of weather conditions. The outer jacket made of polyethylene (PE) in black color is resistant to abrasion, UV radiation and stress corrosion, guaranteeing long-term reliability even in harsh environmental conditions.
The cable meets the VDE A-DQ2Y micro standard and has a CPR Fca fire reaction class, which confirms its safety of use. The operating temperature range of the cable is from -30°C to +70°C, which allows its use in various climates and weather conditions. Transport and storage are possible in the temperature range from -40°C to +70°C, and installation from -15°C to +60°C.
