Mining cable OGŁ 4×16 GG1712
Mining Electrical Cable – Reliability in Demanding Conditions
This mining cable, marked as OGŁ 4x16, is a robust solution for powering submersible motors and other equipment in harsh environments. Constructed with copper conductors, it features high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Designed to operate across a wide temperature range—from -40°C to +60°C—it performs reliably both underwater and in air.
Construction and Properties
The OGŁ cable contains four conductors, each with a cross-section of 16 mm², ensuring sufficient current-carrying capacity for most mining applications. The conductors are made of tinned, multi-wire copper class 5, in accordance with EN 60228, guaranteeing excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. Insulation is made from IZ rubber compound, meeting the requirements of PN-89/E-29100. An additional rubber sheath provides further protection against mechanical damage and external environmental factors.
Application and Operational Parameters
The OGŁ cable is rated for operation at 0.6/1 kV and withstands a test voltage of 3 kV. Thanks to its construction, the permissible longitudinal mechanical load is 10 N/mm² * S (where S is the sum of the nominal conductor cross-sections). The minimum bending radius is 5 x cable diameter, facilitating installation even in confined spaces. The minimum installation temperature is -10°C.
The OGŁ cable is a proven choice for installers and end-users seeking a reliable solution for powering equipment in demanding mining conditions. Its robust construction and high resistance to environmental factors ensure long-term, safe operation.
