Mining cable OGŁ 4x4.0 – reliability in harsh conditions
The OGŁ cable is a robust construction designed for use in demanding environments, primarily in mining. It is used to power submersible motors, where resistance to mechanical damage and moisture is crucial. Its design ensures safe and efficient power transmission in difficult working conditions.
Construction and application
The OGŁ cable is characterized by copper conductors, insulation, and a rubber jacket. This combination of materials guarantees flexibility and abrasion resistance, as well as effective protection against external factors. This cable is primarily used in:
- Powering submersible motors in mines.
- Electrical installations in environments with increased humidity and exposed to mechanical damage.
- Where high flexibility and resistance to low temperatures are required.
Operating parameters and safety
The OGŁ cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to 60°C both in water and in air. The minimum installation temperature is -10°C. It is intended for operation at a voltage of 0.6/1 kV, and its dielectric strength is confirmed by a test voltage of 3 kV. This ensures safe operation even in the most demanding conditions. Additionally, the permissible longitudinal mechanical load of the cable is 10 N/mm².
It is worth remembering that this cable is round, which facilitates its laying and installation. Its construction allows for efficient power transmission with a conductor cross-section of 4 mm² and a number of conductors of 4.
