The OnGc-G 0.6/1kV mining cable is a multi-core sheathed cable designed to operate in the demanding conditions of mining. The cable's construction, based on copper conductors insulated with special PVC and protected by a rubber sheath, ensures reliable operation and high resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. This cable is used to power fixed and portable equipment in coal mines and open-pit mines, excluding areas at risk of methane and coal dust explosions.

Construction and properties

The OnGc-G cable is characterized by a solid construction designed with the specific requirements of mining in mind. Multi-wire copper conductors class 5 (according to PN-EN 60228) provide good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The PVC insulation is resistant to abrasion and moisture, and also provides good electrical properties. The rubber sheath protects the cable against mechanical damage, oils and UV radiation. This ensures that the cable retains its properties even during intensive use.

It is worth noting the permissible operating temperature of the cable – up to 90°C – which allows it to be used in places with elevated ambient temperature. The test voltage of the working conductors is 3.2 kV, and of the auxiliary conductors 2 kV, which guarantees safety of use. The minimum bending radius (6 x diameter for fixed installation and 10 x diameter for mobile receivers) facilitates installation and laying of the cable in tight spaces.

Application and technical parameters

The OnGc-G 3x16+3x10/3 cable is a specific solution for installations requiring six cores – three working cores with a cross-section of 16 mm² and three auxiliary cores with a cross-section of 10 mm². This configuration allows for efficient powering of devices and connection of additional control or signaling circuits. The weight of the cable is approximately 1160 kg/km.
