Mining cable OnGc-G 0.6/1kV 3x50+3x25/3 GG1061
Mining cable for demanding conditions
The OnGc-G 0.6/1kV cable is a reliable solution for powering equipment in underground and surface mining. Designed for harsh working conditions, it provides safe and efficient power transmission in places where standard cables fail. The rubber jacket construction guarantees resistance to mechanical damage, oils, and flame propagation, which is crucial in a mining environment.
Construction and application
The cable consists of multi-wire copper conductors insulated with special heat-resistant rubber. Additional insulation of the protective conductor made of special conductive rubber ensures safe use. The conductors are twisted around a core, which increases flexibility and facilitates installation. The outer jacket made of oil-resistant rubber with increased fire resistance (oxygen index min. 29) protects the cable against aggressive external factors.
The intended use of this cable includes powering mobile and portable receivers in underground, borehole and surface mines – everywhere where there is no risk of methane or coal dust explosion. Therefore, it is used to power mining machines, lighting and other electrical equipment used in the raw material extraction process.
Key features and benefits
- Durable construction: the combination of copper conductors, rubber insulation and jacket ensures long-lasting and reliable operation even in extreme conditions.
- Resistance to external factors: oil-resistant rubber protects against damage caused by contact with oils, lubricants and other chemicals present in the mining environment.
- Safety: the self-extinguishing, flame-retardant jacket minimizes the risk of fire in the event of a failure or short circuit.
- Flexibility: twisted conductors make it easier to lay the cable and connect to devices.
- Wide temperature range: the cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -40°C to +90°C, allowing it to be used in various climatic conditions prevailing in mines.
- Application in difficult conditions: ideal for working in places exposed to high mechanical loads and contact with aggressive substances.
The rated voltage is 0.6/1 kV, and the operating temperature is in the range of -40°C to +90°C. The minimum bending radius for fixed installation is 6 x the outer diameter of the cable, while for mobile receivers – 10 x the outer diameter. This cable model (3x50+3x25/3) is characterized by a cross-section of working conductors 50 mm² and auxiliary 25 mm², and its approximate mass is about 2990 kg/km with an outer diameter of 41.5 mm. This ensures adequate current carrying capacity for most mining applications.
