Mining signal cable – reliability in harsh conditions
The YnHKGSLY 0.6/1kV cable is a robust solution for signal transmission in demanding mining environments. The cable's construction, with shielding for each core, provides high resistance to interference and guarantees stable communication. Made of copper, with insulation and a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating, it is adapted to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a 13x1.5+1.5 construction, which means 13 cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and one protective core of the same cross-section. The cores made of copper are flexible (class 5), which facilitates installation and cable routing. Each core has individual shielding in the form of a braid, minimizing the risk of electromagnetic interference. Additionally, the cable has a general screen for increased signal protection. The yellow outer coating provides good visibility in difficult lighting conditions.
Application and compliance with standards
The YnHKGSLY cable is primarily used in mining, where it is exposed to extreme working conditions – humidity, dust, mechanical damage. It meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding fire resistance and IEC 60332-3-24 (cat. C), which confirms its safety of use. The reaction to fire class according to EN 13501-6 is Fca. Therefore, the cable can be used in places with increased fire protection requirements. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 201 mm, which should be taken into account during installation design. The core resistance at 20°C is 13.3 Ω/km.
