Mining Signal Cable – Reliability in Harsh Conditions

This signal cable, designated YnHKGSLY, is designed to operate in the demanding conditions typical of mining. Made with copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it provides stable signal transmission even in extreme environments. The cable construction includes individual shielding on each conductor, minimizing interference and ensuring high signal quality.

Construction and Properties

The YnHKGSLY cable consists of five conductors (4 signal conductors + 1 protective conductor), making it a versatile solution for various applications. The conductors are made of copper, guaranteeing good conductivity and flexibility. Additionally, the cable has an overall braided shield, which increases resistance to electromagnetic interference. The outer PVC jacket provides protection against mechanical damage and weathering. The cable is designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to +70°C.

Application and Compliance with Standards

YnHKGSLY cables are primarily used in mining, but can also be used in other industrial sectors requiring high reliability and resistance to interference. It meets the requirements for fire resistance according to IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24 (cat. C) standards. The reaction to fire class is Fca, which means limited flammability and smoke emission. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 137 mm, making installation easier even in confined spaces. Conductor resistance at 20°C is 13.3 Ω/km.
