Mining Signal Cable – Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The YnHKGSLY cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding mining environments. The cable's construction, with shielding for each core, provides high resistance to interference and guarantees stable signal transmission. Made of copper cores with a cross-section of 1.0 mm², insulated with PVC, it is intended for transmitting control and measurement signals in conditions exposed to mechanical damage and external factors.

Construction and Properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, designed with the specific requirements of mining in mind. The use of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the insulation material for the cores and the outer jacket provides resistance to abrasion, moisture and chemical substances. Individual screens on each of the 23 cores minimize the risk of electromagnetic interference, which is crucial for the precise operation of control and monitoring systems. In addition, the cable has a general screen for increased protection against interference. Core class 5 (flexible stranded wire) provides flexibility and facilitates installation even in tight spaces.

The YnHKGSLY cable with a rated voltage of 500V (300V for U0) is intended for use in control, measurement and signaling circuits in underground mining and in other industrial applications requiring high reliability and resistance to interference. Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable is perfect for installations exposed to mechanical damage, moisture and chemical substances. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 21.2 mm and its weight is 666 kg/km. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 212 mm (10x diameter). The core resistance at 20°C is 19.5 Ω/km.
