Mining Signal Cable – Reliability in Harsh Conditions
This signal cable, designated YnHKGSLY, is designed to operate in the demanding conditions typical of mining. It features a robust construction and high resistance to mechanical damage and external factors. It is intended for transmitting control and measurement signals in industrial environments, particularly in mines. Made of copper, with insulation and a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating, it ensures safe and stable data transmission.
Construction and Properties
The YnHKGSLY cable stands out with its careful construction, which guarantees its durability and reliability. It has 37 cores, each with a cross-section of 1 mm², allowing for the transmission of a large number of signals simultaneously. The cores are made of copper, ensuring excellent electrical conductivity. Each core is additionally shielded, minimizing electromagnetic interference and ensuring high signal quality. The whole is surrounded by a durable PVC coating, which protects the cable from moisture, abrasion and other mechanical damage. This ensures that the cable retains its properties even in extreme working conditions.
This cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500V and 300V (U0). Its permissible operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +70°C, making it an ideal solution for applications in variable climatic conditions. In addition, the cable has a common screen (braid) which increases its resistance to interference. The fire resistance of the cable is confirmed by IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24 (cat. C) standards. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 24.1 mm and its weight is 963 kg/km. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 241 mm – it is worth considering this when designing the installation.
