The YnHKGSY 0.6/1 kV cable is a specialized conductor designed for mining applications, featuring high resistance to mechanical damage, chemical exposure, and flame propagation. Its robust construction ensures safe and reliable operation in demanding mining environments, both in underground workings and open-pit mines. This cable is used for powering and controlling safety, monitoring, and control equipment.

Construction and Properties

The YnHKGSY cable stands out for its durable design, ensuring long-term service life. Copper conductors are insulated with special PVC, and each conductor is individually shielded by a braid of tinned copper wires—critical for reducing electromagnetic interference and ensuring stable signal transmission. The entire assembly is covered with a flame-retardant PVC sheath compliant with standards PN-EN 60332-1 and PN-EN 60332-3-24, significantly enhancing fire safety. The cable is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C, with a minimum installation temperature of -5°C, making it suitable for extreme conditions found in mines.

It can be installed in both open-pit and surface mining facilities (outside explosive zones) as well as in non-methane underground installations. It complies with EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24 standards, confirming its flame-retardant properties. The test voltage is 2.0 kV for 300/500 V rated voltage and 3.5 kV for 0.6/1 kV. The minimum bending radius is 10 times the outer diameter, simplifying installation even in tight spaces. The nominal conductor cross-section is 1 mm². The cable is available with 5 cores.
