The YnHKGSY 0.6/1kV cable is a specialized cable designed for operation in demanding mining conditions. Its construction with shielded cores and a PVC jacket with increased flame retardancy ensures safety and reliability in critical applications. This is a solid solution for both installers and end-users who need proven cables in a difficult environment.

Construction and properties

This cable stands out with its careful construction, which guarantees its durability and functionality. Made of multi-wire copper conductors class 5 (according to PNEN 60228), insulated with special PVC, it provides stable signal transmission. Each core has an individual screen made of tinned copper wire braid – this is crucial for reducing interference and ensuring precise operation of control and monitoring systems. The outer jacket made of special PVC is not only resistant to mechanical damage but also flame-retardant and does not spread flames (according to PN-EN 60332-1 and PN-EN 60332-3-24, IEC 60332-3, category C). This means the cable meets high fire safety standards.

Application in mining

YnHKGSY cables are specifically designed for operation in mining plants – both surface, borehole, and underground. They are suitable for powering and controlling control, safety, and control devices. They can be used outside explosion-hazardous areas and in areas hazardous with methane (classes “a”, “b” or “c”) and workings hazardous with coal dust (classes “A” or “B”). This cable is a reliable element of mining infrastructure, guaranteeing safe and efficient operation of equipment. The operating temperature of the cable is in the range of -40°C to 70°C, and the minimum laying temperature is -5°C, allowing it to be operated even in extreme climatic conditions prevailing underground. The operating voltage is 300/500V or 0.6/1 kV (depending on the version), and the test voltage is 2.0 kV or 3.5 kV respectively, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
