Mining signal cable – reliable communication in harsh conditions
The YnHKGSY cable is a specialized cable designed for operation in the demanding mining environment. Constructed with multi-wire copper conductors, PVC insulated and equipped with individual screens on each conductor, it ensures stable transmission of control and power signals in open-pit, borehole and underground mines. The cable construction guarantees resistance to mechanical damage, moisture and aggressive chemicals typical of mining.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, designed with safety and reliability in mind. Copper conductors class 5 (according to PNEN 60228) provide good electrical conductivity, and the special PVC used for conductor and outer jacket insulation increases resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Individual screens on each conductor minimize electromagnetic interference, which is crucial for precise transmission of control signals. The outer jacket made of special PVC is flame retardant and does not spread flames (compliant with PN-EN 60332-1 and PN-EN 60332-3-24 standards), which increases safety in potentially hazardous areas.
Application and compliance with standards
The YnHKGSY cable is used in power control, safety and control devices in mining. It is approved for operation in mining workings classified as hazard class "A" or "B" of coal dust explosion and in areas threatened by methane explosion of degree "a", "b" or "c". It is designed for operation at voltages of 300/500V and 0.6/1kV (test voltage 2.0 kV and 3.5 kV respectively). The cable maintains flexibility even at low temperatures – the minimum laying temperature is -5°C, and the operating temperature reaches from -40°C to 70°C. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter. This cable is ideal where high resistance to underground conditions and reliable operation of control devices are required.
