Mining signal cable – reliability in harsh conditions

The YnHKGSY cable is a specialized signal cable designed for operation in demanding mining conditions. The construction with shielded cores and a durable PVC coating ensures reliable operation and safety in power and control systems in mines. It is a cable dedicated to power control, safety and control devices in surface and underground mining.

Construction and application

The cable is characterized by multi-wire copper cores of class 5 (according to PN-EN 60228), which guarantees flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Each core is individually shielded, minimizing electromagnetic interference and ensuring precise signal transmission. The insulation made of special PVC provides high resistance to abrasion, chemicals and extreme temperatures. The outer coating made of PVC with increased resistance to flame propagation further increases the level of safety.

Key features and parameters

The cable is distinguished by a working voltage of 300/500V and 0.6/1kV, which makes it a universal solution for various installations. The nominal cross-section of the core with a value of 2.5 mm² provides adequate current carrying capacity for control signals. The cable construction includes 7 cores, in a configuration of 6x2.5+2.5, allowing the transmission of many signals simultaneously – the additional core can serve as a grounding or protective signal. The operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C allows operation of the cable in extreme climatic conditions prevailing in mines. The minimum bending radius is 10xØ, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The outer coating made of PVC with increased resistance to flame propagation increases the safety of using the cable.
